The VatPay App story begins back in October 2010, when our CEO started Cotek Systems Inc. He was a SharePoint Consulting and was busy
flying around executing projects for clients. He executed projects for clients like Coca-Cola, Dexia NYC, Tyco electronics and many more. When it came to billing clients, MS Word and Excel were frustrating to use and weren’t built to create professional
looking invoices. He decided to try QuickBooks. Needless to say that if you are a busy Freelancer or Small Business Owner, QuickBooks wasn't the right tool
for you. QuickBooks is really a great software for Accountants but was too complicated and pricy for freelancers and small business owners. You needed
to hire an Accountant to show you how to use the tool. Knowing there had to be a better and EASY way, he decided to create it himself. A solution
that will save small business owners and freelancers hundreds of hours everything from online billing. A solution that was extremely easy to use. A solution that will help teams collaborate on projects aat no additional cost. And most importantly, a solution that was tailored for Freelancers and Small Business Owners.
He started working on the project day and night (including weekends), trying to come up with cool features and a user-friendly interface. Over the next one month without writing a single line of code, he designed a
solution that is both easy to use and highly secured. The solution became the foundation of VatPay. Back then it was called Sleek Invoice and was launched on Microsoft (Office) 365 App Store.
From Sleek Invoice to VatPay App
Sleek Invoice has garnered tremendous success for its billing solution and that is why the product got rebranded as VatPay.
The rebranding initiative help leverage the brand equity and simplify VatPay go-to-market strategy around one platform and corporate name.
VatPay now serve as both the company and solution name. We now implement our marketing, communications and sales engagement initiatives under the VatPay brand.
